I am the host of Melting Pot each thursday between 20.00 and 22.00
I’ve got a wonderful music Collection, and I want as many people as possible to hear it. That’s been my outlook for the last 20 years or so, and are now having the chance to host my own show – The Melting Pot – here on 902FM.
I grew up in Birmingham, England in the 70s and 80s, where I was exposed to a lot of reggae and hip hop. When I moved to Brighton in 1989, I discovered the kind of jazz, that I now love. I discovered Gil-Scott Heron, Lonnie Liston-Smith, Charles Earland, Sergio Mendes and many more amazing musicans, that were never played on the radio.
After Brighton I went to Brussels and began to collect Music, because I was no longer surrounded by the music, I loved. I went to Italy in 1995 and began to DJ. I spent over 12 years playing a mixture of soulful underground music in the bars and Club of Turin.
Now I’m in Copenhagen and The Melting Pot is the next chapter in my musical journey. I’ll be playing all of the sounds mentioned above and some more besides. I hope you can join me.
